Hey friends!
My fellow interns and I are running around making the final preparations for our trip to Manila! We will be boarding the plane around 10:30 tonight (Tuesday) and arriving in Manila around 5am on Thursday morning! So much for Wednesday, eh? We'll be meeting up with the Servant Partners staff in Manila (Aaron, Emma, and Cora) and hanging out with them and their neighbors in a slum community called Botocan. The trip has been termed a "slum retreat". We won't have a specific work project, but we'll just be getting to know the slum community and experiencing what life is like for our friends there. We'll also have lots of time to pray, read, and reflect on our thoughts and experiences. We would really love your prayers as we fly out tonight.
